The Challenge

The initial challenge with Alergo Praxis was of great proportions, based on their existing online presence, which was a burden rather than an advantage. The previous site, built on a WordPress platform, was a vestige of early digital design, marked by a disastrous aesthetic appearance and serious usability problems.

Visually, the site was a mess — mismatched colors, poorly optimized images, and a cluttered structure that discouraged visitors. This lack of aesthetic appeal was compounded by the lack of differentiation between pages; the “About Us” and “Contact” sections replicated the main error of the homepage, with no unique content or clear visual cues to guide users. This uniformity creates confusion, making it difficult to quickly access relevant information.

From the perspective of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), the site was full of shortcomings. The user's journey was a labyrinth—the navigation menu was cluttered, links were either broken or led to irrelevant pages, and there was no clear call to action, such as scheduling a consultation. Page load times were excessively long due to unoptimized code and a large number of plugins, a typical problem for older WordPress configurations, which increased the dropout rate. Accessibility was another major concern; the site did not offer features such as text resizing or high-contrast modes, excluding potential patients with visual impairments. The content itself was poor—the “About Us” page, for example, contained a single paragraph with minimal details about the clinic's history, staff qualifications, or services offered, leaving visitors with more questions than answers.

For a health clinic like Alergo Praxis, where trust and professionalism are essential, this site was a source of embarrassment. Clinic staff avoid sharing the URL with patients, aware that it negatively reflects their credibility. The site failed to value the expertise of allergology specialists or highlight crucial services such as allergy testing and treatment plans. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) was virtually nonexistent, with outdated meta tags and a lack of mobile responsiveness limiting visibility. This combination of aesthetic negligence, UX disasters and missed employment opportunities has turned the old site into a digital dead end, urgently requiring a complete renovation to align with modern standards and the clinic's reputation.

The solution

To address the multitude of problems of Alergo Praxis's online presence, we proposed a comprehensive solution based on a custom site built on Webflow, a modern platform that contrasts sharply with the outdated WordPress configuration. Our goal was to create a visually attractive, easy-to-use site that would restore the professional image of the clinic and inspire confidence in visitors. The first step was to redesign the user's journey, ensuring a smooth flow from accessing the home page to exploring services, informing about the clinic and contacting staff. We've introduced distinct layouts for information sections like “About Us” and “Contact,” each with unique hero images, personalized content, and clear navigation paths to enhance usability.

The new design prioritized aesthetics with a clean and sleek look, using a soothing color palette inspired by medical themes—pastel blue and white—along with high-quality images of the clinic and its team. We have added a page dedicated to “Allergens”, a novelty that provides detailed information about various types of allergens, treatment options and preventive measures, filling a content gap left by the previous site. This page includes interactive elements such as extensible sections and infographics, transforming complex medical information into something accessible and engaging. The site has been optimized for mobile devices, guaranteeing a responsive experience that responds to the growing number of users accessing health information from smartphones.

We have applied advanced UI/UX principles to correct the shortcomings of the previous site. Navigation has been simplified with a fixed menu, intuitive icons and a prominent search bar, allowing users to easily find services such as allergy testing or consultation appointments. Accessibility features such as text resizing and keyboard navigation have been integrated to meet modern standards, extending the reach of the site. In contrast to the generic content of the old site, we enriched the “About Us” page with detailed staff biographies, clinic history and patient testimonials, strengthening credibility. The solution also included SEO optimization with updated meta tags and relevant content, increasing visibility online.

Implementation

The implementation of the Alergo Praxis project began with careful planning and a structured approach to bring our vision to life. The first step was creating a design in Figma, where we worked closely with the clinic team to understand their specific needs and aesthetic preferences. We have developed a detailed plan of the user's journey and a clear flow, mapping every step from accessing the site to completing an action, such as scheduling a consultation. This process involved initial sketches and interactive prototypes, tested to ensure fluid and intuitive navigation, removing barriers encountered on the previous site.

After approving the design, we moved on to the actual development in Webflow, a platform that allowed us to translate the vision into a functional and attractive website. We built custom layouts for each page, integrating high-quality images and subtle animations to enhance the visual experience. Development included performance-optimized coding, ensuring fast load times and cross-browser compatibility.

We have also implemented integrations such as secure contact forms and interactive maps for clinic location, making it easier for users to access. Our team worked iteratively, adjusting the elements based on the feedback received, to ensure that every detail reflected the high standards of the clinic.

Result

The end result of the Alergo Praxis project is a site that the clinic can be proud of, representing an online business card worthy of its reputation. The modern and professional design, with a pleasant aesthetic and intuitive navigation, transformed the first impression of visitors, converting it from a rejection experience to a reliable one. Patients can now easily explore detailed information about allergens, services and the medical team, which has led to a significant increase in time spent on the site. The “Allergens” page has become a highlight, providing valuable resources that position the clinic as a leader in the field.

The impact on the business was immediately noticeable. The rejection rate has dropped dramatically and the number of online appointments has increased, reflecting greater user confidence in the services offered. Feedback received from patients emphasizes appreciation for the clarity of information and accessibility of the site, especially on mobile devices. Clinic staff, who previously avoided promoting the old site, now proudly recommend it, integrating it into marketing campaigns. Online visibility has increased due to SEO optimization, attracting new visitors from the Iasi region and beyond. This site not only solves previous problems, but serves as a strategic tool to grow and strengthen the digital presence of Alergo Praxis.
